+High Sustained DPS: Amazing at shredding Frontliners and Structures.
Lack of Orbital BFG: By taking Ultra Capacitors at 20, you lose the infinite wave-clear of the Level 20 BFG upgrade.
+Safe Poke: Advanced Artillery + Hover allows you to poke from a distance without getting caught.
High Skill Ceiling: You need to constantly stutter-step while in Hover Mode to maximize your value.
+Anti-CC: Siege Tactics is a hard counter to heroes like Diablo, Kel'Thuzad, or Stitches.
Lower Burst: This build wins through attrition, not instant deletions.

Playstyle Tips

  • Don't stop moving: With Hover Siege Mode, there is almost no reason to stand still. Always move slightly between every auto-attack to make it harder for enemies to land skillshots.
  • Save the Unstoppable: Use Siege Tactics reactively. Wait for the moment the enemy initiates (like a Butcher Charge or a Kerrigan Combo) to pop it.
  • BFG Timing: Since you didn't take Napalm, your wave clear is slightly lower. Use Blunt Force Gun to finish off low-health enemies or to force an enemy team off an objective from across the map.

Strong Against

  • Zul'jin / Raynor / VallaHammer outranges almost every other auto-attacker. In a 'stand-and-shoot' fight, Hammer wins because she hits them multiple times before they even get close enough to fire back.
  • Arthas / Johanna / Leoic:These 'slow' tanks struggle to reach Hammer. She can keep them at bay with her range, and if they do get close, her Concussive Blast (W) knocks them away, forcing them to start the long walk all over again.
  • Gazlowe / ProbiusHammer is the ultimate 'zone breaker.' She can outrange their turrets and cannons, destroying their entire setup from a safe distance without taking a single hit.
  • Illidan (In some cases)While Illidan is mobile, a Hammer who saves her Concussive Blast and Neosteel Armor can often survive his dive while her team collapses on him.

Weak Against

  • Chromie / Li-MingThese are Hammer’s 'Hard Counters.' Since Hammer stays stationary in Siege Mode, she is a sitting duck for Chromie’s Sand Blast or Li-Ming’s Orbs. They can outrange her and hit her for massive damage while she is locked in place.
  • StitchesThe Hook is a nightmare for Hammer. Since she is a large, stationary target, Stitches can easily pull her out of her safe zone and into the middle of his team.
  • Alarak / KerriganThese heroes have 'displacement combos'. If Alarak pulls Hammer out of her Siege Mode, she loses her defensive bonuses and range, making her an easy kill.
  • ArtanisHis Phase Prism (E) swap is devastating. It forces Hammer out of position and puts her right into the enemy frontline.
  • Kel'ThuzadLike Chromie, he loves stationary targets. He can easily land his chains on a sieged Hammer and delete her with his full combo.
